8-point CRO breakdown

How well the landing page behind the ad is built to convert, scored across 8 factors: offer, copy, speed, trust, mobile, message-match, CTA, and social proof.

This landing page is a gamified scratch-card experience that creates engagement through interactive mechanics and curiosity. However, it severely underperforms on core CRO fundamentals: there is no clear product messaging, no offer clarity about what the collagen product actually provides, no visible social proof or testimonials, and the page fails to communicate the ad's value proposition about skin, hair, and joint health. The scratch mechanic is a novelty that distracts from conversion rather than supporting it. The page also suffers from poor mobile optimization (the scratch card is difficult to interact with on small screens) and extremely slow load times (35 PageSpeed score). While the Elavate branding is present, the disconnect between the ad promise ("The Secret To Glowing Skin After 40") and the actual page experience (a generic scratch game) creates significant message mismatch and erodes trust.

Where it's weak

  • Social proof: No customer testimonials, reviews, ratings, or the mentioned '50,000+ American women' social proof is visible anywhere on the page.
  • Message match: The ad promises 'The Secret To Glowing Skin After 40' with specific collagen benefits, but the page is a generic scratch game with zero product messaging alignment.
  • Offer clarity: The page shows only a scratch card with no information about the collagen product, dosage, ingredients, or benefits mentioned in the ad.
  • Page speed: PageSpeed score of 35 indicates severe performance issues with slow load times that will frustrate users and increase bounce rates.
  • Trust signals: The scratch card gamification feels like a lottery/prize scheme rather than a legitimate product page, undermining credibility and trust in the Elavate brand.
  • Mobile experience: The scratch card interface is poorly optimized for mobile touch interaction and the page layout appears cramped on smaller screens.
  • Headline: The headline 'SCRATCH BELOW TO SEE WHAT YOU WIN...' is generic and creates false expectations of a prize rather than promoting the collagen product.
  • Call to action: The 'SCRATCH HERE' CTA is action-oriented but vague and doesn't clearly communicate that clicking leads to a product purchase.

Four months in with ELAVATE collagen and here is the honest update. When I started taking it back in November I was genuinely sceptical. I’ve tried things before and thought… fine, we’ll see. Fast forward four months and I’m still taking it every day without anyone reminding me, which probably tells you everything. The biggest surprise for me has actually been my neck. I was fully expecting to be back at an osteopath by now. Somehow that appointment still hasn’t happened. Surprisingly, my hair has now started looking glossier, with NEW hair growth, feeling thicker. Something I'm now noticing after the 4 month mark. 🥳 It’s also just become part of my routine. Some days it’s a quick milkshake, other days it’s the full peanut butter banana situation which is dangerously close to just calling it breakfast. I also asked my little school mums WhatsApp group (who bought it after my first video) what they’d noticed and their answers were fascinating. Also very honest. Which is exactly what you want. Turns out everyone seems to notice slightly different things. Anyway. Four months in. Still taking it. Still pleasantly surprised! If you’re curious to try it, the link is in my bio in my linktree with 20% off. @elavatesuperfoods |AD #elavate #collagen
